There are around 30 students from various disciplines who form Team Motor Breath. The S.A.E. Chapter of our institute has 93 members. The college chapter of S.A.E. was formed in 2008 and since its inception has made the race car. Activities of the college chapter will include holding workshops helping students become familiar with software such as Catia, SolidWorks and Ansys. These can be used to do modeling, simulation and validation.
Team Motor Breath which is a part of this college chapter is participating in Baja, 2010. The process of making the vehicle for Baja will involve modelling, simulation, validation and fabrication. To find more information about what we are doing and how we are doing it visit the A.T.V. part of the Projects section.

To provide the students an experience as close as possible to making a production vehicle such that the process (except fabrication) is similar to that employed by automotive manufacturers.

To participate in competitions F.S.A.E. Where the limitations imposed on participating teams are very few giving them the freedom to do different things. The students should have a great experience in each functional group such as the chassis, suspension, engine, transmission, interiors and driver interface allowing them to optimize each part in ways similar to those employed major automotive manufacturers.
